Slumdog Millionaire

February 23rd, 2009

Went to see Slumdog Millionaire over the weekend.

Despite all the hype and media coverage the film is absolutely superb.

The photography was some of the best I have seen in a long time. Praise indeed for Anthony Dod Mantle the Director of Photography who incidentally was the Director of Photography on Wallander which was shown on the BBC earlier this year. He certainly deserves his Oscar.

I also watched a ‘Making of Slumdog Millionaire’ over the weekend and learned that the film was shot digitally as conventional film cameras where impossible to use in the slums of Mumbai.

Also it has a great soundtrack

My advice would be to go and see it.
