The Third & The Seventh from Alex Roman on Vimeo.

This short film by Alex Roman is superb it deals with architecture in a photographic sense. What is even more amazing is that it is entirley computer generated.

Stunning!!

One of my favourite architects Oscar Niemeyer, the famous Brazilian architect has turned 102 this week and he still goes to work everyday.

Oscar Niemyer is probably best known for his architectural masterpiece, the city of Brasilia. The whole city was built from scratch in the late 50’s and eventually became the capital of Brazil in 1960.

I hope I am still taking photographs at 102.

There is an interview with him on youtube that also show examples of his fine work- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGK-I1gtLfo

Hiya everyone

Not blogged properly for a week now, it has been crazy busy. November is traditionally a quiet month but this Nov was the best month this year, some nice full day shoots, lets hope everything carries on this way. Recession over, I do hope so.

Also I have just added my photographic portfolio of Places  to my Flickr page, it contains architectural images of Manchester, Barcelona, Paris, Liverpool etc. I will be adding the People section in the next couple of days.

If you would like to view the Places images please click on any of the images below.

Busy Busy Busy Rain Rain Rain

November 23, 2009

After a mad busy month(the best this year) I have yet another  busy week ahead, it kicked off today with a couple of photography jobs in Manchester and Liverpool.

I seem to spend all my time driving, dont get me wrong I really enjoy my photography work and I love being busy but driving in weather like we have had today (rain, rain, rain, rain and more bloody rain!!) really takes it out of you. I have spent over 4.5 hours in the car just in and around the Northwest.

More driving to come later on in the week, lets just hope the weather improves. Then a job next week in London on the train, its got to be the best way to travel, I wish all my job could be done on the train.
