Yet more on my photographic project.

I have just photographed graphic designer Darren Wilson of KP Studios,Blackburn, Lancashire.

At first I wasn’t sure where to photograph Darren, I had considered the centre of Manchester or Liverpool but finally decided on Cleveleys, Lancashire of all places. Hardly  rock and roll, but the lighting on the coast is amazing and it is always fairley quiet there. We drove, set up and did the shoot, the round trip taking about three hours. As with anywhere in Lancashire at the moment, is was freezing, more so than being on the moors overlooking Burnley last week.

We had a good laugh, Darren was a good subject , easy to photograph, everything went well.

Yet again watch this space for the results.

Continuing my photographic project. I spent yesterday afternoon photographing Caroline McNamee of CMC HR. The shoot took place on the moors overlooking Burnley, Lancashire and as you can probably guess it was freezing.  The light was superb, beautiful winter sun, weak and low and the location was dramatic. It took around two hours to complete the shoot . Caroline indicated that she had never done anything like this before and was quite excited. I must thank Caroline for her patience as she was clearly very very cold.

All went very well and you can see the pictures when the whole project is complete. So once again

As you probably know I am currently working on a photographic project (soon be revealed).

I asked friend and wedding photographer Carlton Watt if he would like to be photographed. He agreed so we set a date for this morning at his office.

Carlton is a wedding photographer who is based in Lancashire but has photographed weddings all over the county, his style is documentary and his work s superb. Why not take a look here www.cwweddings.co.uk

I spent some time setting up and assessing the lighting etc.

Carlton left me to it, he indicated that he was not going to have any input in how I was to photograph him as he did not wish to influence me in any way.

All went well and the results will be revealed when the project is complete.

I am currently working on a photographic project (soon be revealed). I asked Charles Tattersall from City Press, the Manchester based PR company, if he would like to be involved. He agreeed so we set a date for this morning at his offices

I spent an hour setting up and deciding on locations and lighting etc. I only needed 20 minutes or so to capture what I needed. The session went so well that we spent nearly an hour trying out different ides etc.  Charles was superb throughout, he agreed to my ideas we chatted and I reckon we could have carried on for another hour. Just goes to show if you have more time then your get the best ideas and ultimately the best photographs

But you cannot see them yet as they will be under wraps until the project is complete.

I know that it is a few weeks since we had snow and you are probably sick of the stuff. This is not yet another snowy landscape scene, it is my take on the snow. Brief to self was to photograph the snow as simply as possible, I am never really inspired by beautiful snowscapes. As you can see I have paired the photographs down to as little as possible. You might think they are rubbish and boring (please tell me if you think so) but I like the simplicity of them. Again thoughts are always welcome
