Hello everyone
I was in Manchester over the weekend and visited the John Rylands University Library on Deansgate which is really interesting piece of gothic architecture with a modern extension.
This gave me the opportunity to try out my my new Panasonic Lumix LX3 compact camera.
Great little camera, very convenient, small, lightweight, good wide angle and a F2.0 lens which is very fast. Most importantly it shoots RAW.
The quality is very good indeed, not upto a DSLR, a bit noisy from ISO400 onwards but good enough for most situations.
Here are some of the photographs.
I have just been looking at the inspiring work of photographer Michael Kenna. His work is so calm and peaceful. Lancashire born but now living in Seattle, Michael has worked with the likes of BMW, Audi, Volvo etc, but for me it is his personal work that I find inspiring.
Why not take a look at his work – www.michaelkenna.net
I have added some more architectural images to my Flickr site and on my YouTube channel. These are of Barcelona, Spain from a few years ago, tucked away in my archives I thought its about time they saw the light of day.
If you would like to view the architectural slideshow then click on the player below.

In my continuing quest to work with various social media I have uploaded my architectural photographs of Imperial War Museum North photographs to Flickr and a slideshow to Youtube.

As usual comments and suggestions are more than welcome.
This video is now on Youtube, it is of a photoshoot in London earlier this year.
We had to convert a boardroom into a makeshift studio so we could photograph the solicitors against a white backdrop for the company website. Here is a timelapse of the construction, shoot and dismantle of the studio setup in their London offices.
