Architectural photography of Communications Tower, Montjuic,Barcelona
I have added some more architectural images to my Flickr site . These are of Communications Tower, Montjuic, Barcelona, Spain from a few years ago, tucked away in my archives I thought its about time they saw the light of day.
The tower was designed by one of my favourte architects Santiago Calatrava to transmit television coverage of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. It was to be the turning point in his career.
I remember seeing this tower on a Peugeot advert around 10 years ago,it looked like something from a scifi film set.I had to go and see it, this was my main reason for my first trip to Barcelona in 2002, I have returned 7 times since. I have yet to photograph it at night, maybe next time.
